Cory Booker will go up on television for the first time today and will air his new ad during the Democratic presidential debate this evening in some markets.
The ad will be Booker’s only opportunity to have his message heard by Democratic primary and caucusgoers since he failed to qualify for the debate.
“You’re only going to see this ad once because I’m not a billionaire,” Booker says at the outset.
The new ad, the start of a $500,000 TV and digital buy, will run in 22 nationwide media markets, including Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, the campaign said.
Booker’s ad will also air in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
