Assemblyman claims Sherrill mailer insults voters

By Nikita Biryukov, September 20 2018 12:33 pm

Assemblyman Jay Webber accused Mikie Sherrill of denigrating New Jersey citizens when she said that Webber belongs in Arkansas over New Jersey  based on his policy stances.

“Apparently Mikie Sherrill believes she is the self-appointed gatekeeper of the Garden State, sitting in her far-left bubble and suggesting that if we don’t share her values, we should move to Arkansas,” Webber spokeswoman Ronica Cleary said. “Not only is that insulting to the people of New Jersey, it is also flatly insulting to our fellow Americans in Arkansas.”

The attack, which targets a Sherrill mailer, is an attempt to capitalize on the same resentment created when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters “deplorables” in 2016.

Webber claims the mailer lists a number of unsubstantiated positions it claims he holds. It’s not clear if that is the case.

  1. Sorry, Phil but Mikie Sherrill had did not sent by The NJ Democratic State Committee. that mailer. Also, Arkansas Senator & Jay Webber benefactor Tom Cotton IS way out of touch with New Jersey, just like Webber is out of touch with NJ-11.
