Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) called for President Donald Trump to be removed from office after he goaded supporters into an assault on Congress Wednesday.
“The President’s actions and rhetoric lead us to this point. I’m joining my colleagues in renewing my call to immediately impeach Donald J. Trump,” she said. “At every step of the way he has sought to undermine our democracy and overrule the will of the people in a free and fair election.”
Trump’s supporters, at his urging, stormed the Capitol as members in both chambers were tallying electoral votes that will certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
The New Jersey Globe has confirmed the safety of the entire New Jersey Congressional delegation.
“This behavior cannot be forgiven or ignored,” Watson Coleman said. “Impeach him. Now.”
