Ventnor Mayor Brian Beth Holtzman endorsed Brian Fitzherbert for the first congressional district’s House seat Wednesday.

“I have had the pleasure of getting to know Brian through his work within our community. He will fight to keep South Jersey the place we know and love. A place where our parents, children and grandchildren can not only afford to live but thrive,” Holtzman said. “Brian will fight to build our unique economy through job creation, lower taxes and less burdensome regulations that cripple small businesses. That is why I am happy to endorse my friend and fellow Atlantic County resident Brian Fitzherbert for Congress.”

Currently, Fitzherbert faces David Richter and controversial former Trump administration official Robert Patterson in the GOP primary to take on freshman Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-Dennis).

Fitzherbert, who is chair of the Atlantic County Young Republicans, previously secured the endorsements of Northfield Mayor Erland Chau and Linwood Mayor Richard DePamphilis.

“I am humbled to receive the endorsement of Mayor Holtzman. I’m grateful to have her support and look forward to working with Beth in Ventnor as we fight to win back the House of Representatives in 2020,” Fitzherbert said.
