The Amalgamated Transit Union New Jersey State Council has Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton) for re-election to a second term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Congressman Kim’s advocacy for increased federal funding for mass transit and his co-sponsoring of the Transit Worker and Pedestrian Protection Act is evidence of his dedication to supporting public workers,” said Orlando Riley, the union chairman.
The transit workers union contributed $10,000 to Kim in his 2018 bid to unseat two-term Rep. Tom MacArthur in New Jersey’s 3rd district.
“ATU members help deliver our neighbors to work. I’m proud to have them by my side, and will always have their back,” Kim said.
Kim defeated MacArthur by 3,973 votes, 50%-49%, in the state’s closest congressional race of the year.
