Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) will have the backing of the Transport Workers Union of America NJ State Conference as he seeks re-election to a second term as the congressman from New Jersey’s 3rd district.

“We’re proud to endorse Andy Kim for Congress,” said Steven Hamm, the TWU state conference chairman. “Since his first day in office, Andy has been a true leader in the fight for better labor agreements, higher wages, and safer working conditions. Andy has had our back in Congress, and we’re thrilled to have his back as he runs for reelection this fall.”

Kim has been on a roll lately, adding important new endorsements daily.

He’s flipped the Laborers and Carpenters unions, both politically powerful labor groups that backed Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River) in the last election.

Kim now faces David Richter, a former construction company CEO who won the July 7 Republican primary.
