U.S. Senator Bob Menendez has a 37-point over Republican Bob Hugin among Hispanic voters likely to vote in November, according to a Telemundo poll released this evening.
Menendez leads Hugin 57%-20%, with 3% for Libertarian Murray Sabrin. 19% remain undecided and 1% went to others.
Green Party candidate Madelyn Hoffman was listed on the poll, but did not register.
Among women Hispanic voters, Menendez leads Hugin, 61%-17%; Menendez’s lead among men is 52%-23%.
The Telemundo poll was conducted by Telemundo 47 New York and Telemundo 62 Philadelphia by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy between October 1-4, with 625 registered Hispanic voters interviewed by telephone across the Garden State. All respondents indicated they were likely to vote in the November general election. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4%.
New Jersey’s population is 19% Hispanic, with about 831,000 eligible Hispanic voters statement, according to the PEW Research Center.
