Sean Spicer to virtually stump for Kean

Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean, Jr. (R-Westfield) will hold a virtual roundtable with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Wednesday.

Kean is seeking the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th district, where freshman Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) is seeking re-election.

Spicer has some experience in parts of the current 7th district.

In 1997 and 1998, he was press secretary to Rep. Michael Pappas (R-Rocky Hill), who was ousted after one term by Democrat Rush Holt (D-Hopewell) after singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Kenneth Starr” on the House floor.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair) will hold a virtual fundraiser with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Tuesday.
