The New Jersey State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed Democrat Tom Malinowski for Congress in the New Jersey’s 7th district.

The Republican incumbent, Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton), was endorsed by the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association in August.

“Tom Malinowski shares our values and is committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement,” said Bob Fox, the NJ FOP president.

Malinowski served as Assistant U.S. Secretary of State in the Obama administration.  Polls show the race between Lance and Malinowski to be within the margin of error.
