The Amalgamated Transit Union endorsed former Assistant Secretary of State Tom Malinowski at an event held at the Westfield train station on Wednesday.

We have an absent Congressman here in the 7th district,” said Raymond Greaves, Chairman of the ATU New Jersey State Joint Council. “It’s time to put somebody in that seat that represents working families, that’s going to fight for commuters, that’s going to fight to fix New Jersey Transit, that’s going to give us support from the federal government for the 1 million daily riders that we represent here in the state of New Jersey.”

The union, among the largest representing workers in the public transit industries of the United States and Canada, represents more than 200,000 in the two countries.
