Rep. Donald Payne, Jr. (D-Newark) won re-election to a fifth term as the congressman from New Jersey’s 10th district.
Payne defeat Republican Agha Khan by 77 points, 87% to 10%.
The congressman received 149,566 votes to Khan’s 17,911.
He won the seat in a 2012 special election following the death of his father, Rep. Donald M. Payne. Payne served as an Essex County freeholder and Newark city councilman before his election to Congress.
