Rep. Bill Pascrell has again been named to the influential House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee.
Pascrell represents 27 Democrats from New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., including eight freshmen.
“I am humbled to be chosen by my colleagues to continue serving on the Democratic Party’s foremost leadership panel in the House of Representatives, especially as we prepare take control as the majority party,” said Pascrell. “On the Steering and Policy Committee, I will continue to stand proudly for the pillars that undergird our great party: addressing climate change, gun control laws to keep our schools and communities safe, scrupulous oversight of government corruption, affordable and reliable health care, support for the women and men of organized labor, and measures that promote economic opportunity for all. As Region IX representative, I will fight for opportunities for members from our region, including the incoming members who helped us secure a Democratic majority.”
Pascrell was re-elected to an twelfth term on November 6.
He will likely serve as chairman of the House Ways and Means Trade subcommittee.
