Nicholas Donatiello, Jr., who was the campaign manager for Bill Bradley’s 1990 re-election campaign, has passed away yesterday. He was 57. Today would have been his 58th birthday.
Donatiello joined Bradley’s staff after his graduation from Princeton and working for McKinsey & Co. He served as his press secretary before leaving to run the Senate campaign. He later received his MBA from Stanford Business School, where he later returned as a lecturer. Donatiello was president and CEO of Arena Systems, a technology company, and as president and CEO of Odyssey, which leading developer of technologies to understand consumer media use habits. He also served on the board of the Schwab Charitable Fund.
On a personal note, Nick grew up in Livingston, where he was the president of the Livingston High School Class of 1977. While I didn’t know Nick well, my heart goes out to the entire Donatiello family, especially his father, Nick Sr., who was my campaign manager and appointee to the Livingston Planning Board.
