New MacArthur TV ad focuses on immigration

A new commercial for Rep. Tom MacArthur’s re-election campaign highlights an effort to help a Brick man from helping to keep his wife from being deported after her immigration paper work “was lost in a seat of bureaucratic red tape.”

“Our immigration system is in crisis and it requires a comprehensive, legislative solution that includes, in part, securing our borders, keeping our communities safe, and providing a pathway to citizenship for children who were brought here illegally through no fault of their own,” said MacArthur.  “We must also do everything in our power to ensure that honest, hardworking people like Joe and Mirna, who have tried to do everything right, are protected from getting swept away in a sea of red tape and bureaucratic incompetence and indifference.”

MacArthur (R-Toms River) faces Democrat Andy Kim, a former Obama White House aide, in his bid for a third term in Congress.
