This story was updated at 10:43 PM to include new endorsement from Gov. Wilson.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has endorsed Peter DeNeufville for the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district.

“Peter DeNeufville is someone who has extensive experience in national security matters and who advised President Trump’s Department of Defense transition team.  I am very pleased to extend my endorsement of Peter to be the Representative for the 11th District of New Jersey in the U.S. Congress,” Kissinger said in a statement released on Monday.

DeNeufville is one of five Republicans seeking the seat of Republican Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, who is retiring after 24 years in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Late Monday night, DeNeufville announced that former California Gov. Pete Wilson has also endorsed him.  Wilson, 84, was governor from 1991 to 1998.

  1. Kissinger had Nixon’s Watergate, and DeNeufville’s got his BribeGate, where he tried to bribe Ghee and Allocco and now may be in cover-up mode. DeNeufville’s BribeGate

  2. Does DeNeufville really not know that Rockefeller Republicanism went extinct more than 50 years ago?
    Peter DeNeufville. OUT. OF. TOUCH.
