New Jersey students gave Democrat Bob Menendez a 58%-42% margin over Republican Bob Hugin in a statewide mock election sponsored by the Community Foundation of New Jersey.
24,525 students in grades 4-12 gave 14,117 votes to Menendez and 10,409 to Hugin.
In their own congressional districts, the students supported Democrats Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski and Mikie Sherrill for Congress.
