Bergen County Democratic Chairman Paul Juliano backed Rep. Bill Pascrell for a 12th term in Congress.
“New Jersey is a state that has always appreciated leaders that fight for them, which is why Bill Pascrell is the only choice for Congress in our district,” Juliano said. “Since he became our representative, Bill Pascrell has been an indefatigable fighter for our beautiful 27 cities and towns. Whether it is seeking quality health care, protecting our environmental resources, supporting our police and firefighters, or rebuilding our aging infrastructure, Bill Pascrell is always there having our backs and never giving up on getting Bergen County its fair share.”
The ninth congressional district is safely Democratic, though Pascrell faces a primary challenge from the left.
Zina Spezakis, a clean technology investor and environmental activist, opened her campaign in June. She expects to self-fund a portion of her campaign.
“Bergen County is one of the most vibrant counties in our entire nation and the engine of New Jersey’s economic renaissance,” Juliano said. “We deserve a champion in Congress who will continue that terrific growth. Bill Pascrell is that champion. I endorse his campaign for Congress and will work hard for his election.”
