The House Majority PAC has spent an additional $368,440 on TV ads opposing the re-election of Republican Rep. Tom MacArthur in New Jersey’s 3rd district, according to reports filed tonight with the Federal Election Commission.

That brings the PAC spending in the MacArthur race up to $2,009,564.

The PAC also reported yesterday that they spent $24,809 on direct mail in opposition to Jay Webber, the Republican candidate for Congress in the 11th district.  That brings the total spent in the 11th up to $310,739 so far this cycle.

In the 7th district, the PAC spent $24,775 on mailings opposing the re-election of five-term Rep. Leonard Lance in the 7th district.  The House Majority PAC has now spent $953,485 on the race.

Additional PAC spending included $1,945 on telephone calls for Democrat Mikie Sherrill, who is running against Webber for the open seat of retiring GOP Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, and $1,911 on calls for Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who is seeking re-election to a second term.  The PAC has spent $22,628 on what is expected to be an easy race for the Human Fundraising Machine in the 5th district.

Two former Obama administration officials are looking to oust the two Republican incumbents: Andy Kim in the 3rd and former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Tom Malinowski in the 7th.

The super PAC is associated with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and is seeking to regain control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
