A group called Stronger Foundations, Inc., described last year as a “mystery spender” by the executive director of the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission, is now airing a cable television ad in New Jersey’s 11th district attacking a GOP congressional candidate, Assemblyman Jay Webber.

The ad attacks Webber as a supporter of higher taxes who doesn’t stand by conservative principles.

The people behind Stronger Foundations is unknown, and they are not required to disclose their donors.

In 2017, the group spent money in the 26th legislative district Republican primary in support of Assemblyman Betty Lou DeCroce’s re-election campaign.  DeCroce is now backing Republican Antony Ghee against Webber in the contest to replace retiring Republican Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen.
