Congressional Candidate Seth Grossman says Democrats are to blame for the mass shooting that left 11 dead and others injured at a Pittsburgh Synagogue on Saturday.
“Jews in America today are in danger of being beaten and killed for just being Jews just like my grandparents when they lived in Eastern Europe more than 100 years ago,” Grossman said. “That is because Democrats have fundamentally changed America during the past 30 years. During these years, radical leftists took control of our media, public schools, colleges, pop culture and the Democratic Party. They then used them to preach a dangerous doctrine that has divided America into groups who are always angry at each other.”
Grossman, who is Jewish, said Democrats embrace anti-Semitism espoused by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and “radical leftists” on college campuses, the latter apparently a reference to the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement, which seeks to end international support for Israel.
There’s very little support for Farrakhan in the party, though conservative blogs latched onto an appearance the man made with Illinois Rep. Danny Davis at a religious event held by Farrakhan’s group in February, and support for the BDS movement is limited to the party’s left-most wing.
