Rosemary Becchi will run on the Essex County Republican organization line as the candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district, a move that comes as no surprise since GOP county chairman Al Barlas endorsed her more than two weeks ago.
“New Jersey and Essex County need leaders like Rosemary who will fight to get things done in Washington,” Barlas said. “We look forward to working with Rosemary and her campaign as we move towards the November elections.”
Barlas quarterbacked a move last month to switch Becchi from the 7th to a race against Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair).
“New Jersey has suffered for way to long. By admission, Mikie Sherrill and the Democrats stand in the way of progress due to hate of our President. This is unacceptable,” Becchi said. “Working with Chairman Barlas and Essex Republicans, we will win this seat back and go to Washington with one goal – to enact solutions.”
