Burlington County GOP Chairman Sean Earlen has endorsed former freeholder Kate Gibbs for Congress in the 3rd district.
“The background and experience of millennial women like Kate Gibbs are exactly what we need to bring civility and sanity back to our nation’s capital,” said Earlen, who is also the mayor of Lumberton. “As a South Jersey native, Kate Gibbs is no D.C. insider.”
Gibbs and Barnegat Township Committeeman John Novak are seeking the Republican nomination to challenge Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton).
Earlen’s announcement that he’s supporting Gibbs comes as no surprise. The Burlington GOP voted unanimously on Saturday to give her the organization line – support that came months before parties typically hold their votes.
“From being raised by a single mother and putting herself through college to cutting taxes and creating job opportunities for working families, Kate Gibbs would bring her unique life experiences to Congress and be a true voice for the needs and values of people who are working hard to build a life for themselves and their families,” Earlen said. “Kate Gibbs is a strong leader and proven winner, and exactly who we need to defeat Andy Kim and represent us in CD3.”
