First Lady Tammy Murphy and Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg will headline a virtual “Celebrate Women” fundraiser for State Sen. Dawn Addiego (D-Evesham) on March 16.
Addiego served in the legislature as a Republican from 2008 to 2019, when she switched parties. She is seeking office for the first time as a Democrat in a politically competitive district that hasn’t elected a Democrat since 1973.
Her presumptive challenger is Assemblywoman Jean Stanfield (R-Westampton), a freshman legislator who spent 18 years as the Burlington County Sheriff.
Tickets will range from $500 to $2,500 per person.
