Jeff Van Drew Statement on 9/11

We will never forget those who perished in the attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Those who commit acts of terrorism against the United States will be brought to justice.

Today, I’m reflecting on the brave men and women in our first responder units who saved countless lives and all of those who lost a loved one on one of our nation’s darkest days.

This summer, the House and Senate both passed the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund extension and it was signed into law by President Trump.

This compensation fund extension is critical to delivering benefits to first responders and families of victims both today and in the future. It is the least that we can do to honor their loved ones and ensure that they have the care that they need.
