Atlantic County Democratic Vice Chair Mary Slomine has decided not to seek re-election when her term expires in June.  Instead, Brigantine Democratic Municipal Chair Audrey Miles will run on a ticket with County Chairman Michael Suleiman.

“Mary has decided not to seek a second term as Vice Chair so that she can devote time to just local races as well as spend more time with her four grandchildren,” Suleiman said in a letter to party leaders. “Mary has been a trusted advisor and friend to him, a mentor to many candidates and municipal chairs, and a role model to all of us.

Suleiman says he looks forward to introducing Miles to county committee members.

“Audrey Miles has the work ethic, drive, and determination to be a successful Vice Chairwoman and help us continue to grow our party,” Suleiman said.
