Malinowski, Sherill win Morris County

In the race for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th district, former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Tom Malinowski won the organization line in Morris County tonight, defeating second place finisher Goutam Jois by a 34-17 vote.  Peter Jacob finished third with 8 votes, followed by Linda Weber (7) and David Pringle (4).

The winner of the Morris Democratic convention in the 11th district was Mikie Sherrill.  She defeated Tamara Harris by a 142-29 vote, with Mark Washburne finishing third with 3 votes.

Morris Democrats voted overwhelmingly to support the re-election campaign of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez.
