Four-term Paterson Councilman Kenneth Morris, Jr. announced on Friday that he would not seek re-election in the May municipal election.
“It is with a deep and heavy heart, that after having the honor, privilege, and most importantly the trust of those who proudly call Paterson their home, I announce that I will not be seeking a fifth term as your Councilman-At-Large. Please know that this was an extremely difficult decision,” Morris said. “It has always been my dream to serve the richly diverse city of Paterson. An opportunity afforded to me due to the hard work and sacrifices of many great men and women who came before me, laying the foundation so others who wanted to could also serve our great city.”
