Jackson to announce re-election plans

By David Wildstein, January 26 2018 10:10 am

Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson is expected to announce today that he will not seek re-election to a second term.  Retirement rumors have been following Jackson for weeks.  He is scheduled to make an announcement regarding his political future at 1 PM today.

Sources say that Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Trenton) will announce his own candidacy if Jackson says he’s not running.  A large field of candidates for the post is expected if there is an open seat.
