The Cooper’s Ferry Partnership and a host of more than 40 other organizations and lawmakers are backing a bill that would allow Horizon Blue Cross-Blue Shield to reorganize into a non-profit mutual holding firm.
The sign on from Cooper’s Ferry means Democrats in South Jersey are behind the bill. The group is closely allied with South Jersey powerbroker George Norcross and other Democrats in the region.
It joins groups like Garden State Equality, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Construction Division and the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, among others.
