Acting State Treasurer Elizabeth Muoio has named a senior staff team consisting primarily of women.
Muoio announced today that Catherine Brennan will serve as Deputy State Treasurer. Brennan spent 25 years at the non-partisan Office of Legislative Services, where she was the committee aide to the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and the chief of the Revenue, Finance and Appropriations section.
Dini Ajmai, a former aide to U.S. Senator Cory Booker with private sector banking experience, is the new Assistant State Treasurer. She will oversee the Public Finance, Pension and Benefits, Investments, Lottery and Risk Management divisions. Jennifer Keyes-Maloney has left her post as assistant director of government relations for the New Jersey Principal and Supervisors Association to become director of legislative affairs and constituent relations. Sirfaraz Pirache, who worked on the Murphy campaign, will be Muoio’s special assistant.
The new director of communications is Jennifer Sciortino, a veteran of twelve years as deputy communications director for the Assembly Majority Office and a former press secretary to the Senate President. Sciortino served as deputy press secretary to Gov. Dick Codey.
