Democratic National Chairman Jaime Harrison, State Sen. Michael Testa (R-Vineland) and Assemblyman Ryan Peters (R-Hainesport) joined host David Wildstein to on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, October 23.
Harrison became Democratic Chairman on January 21, 2021, one day after Joe Biden assumed the presidency. A graduate of Yale University, he served as a top staffer to House Majority Whip James Clyburn and as executive director of the House Demcoratic Caucus before beginning a four-year stint as the South Carolina Democratic State Chairman. He was the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in 2020, raising a record $109 million for his bid to unseat Republican Lindsay Graham.
Testa was elected to the New Jersey State Senate in a 2019 special election, defeating Democratic incumbent Bob Andrzejczak (D-Middle) for the unexpired term of Jeff Van Drew. A Vineland attorney, he is also the Cumberland County Republican Chairman and served as co-chairman of President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign in New Jersey. He serves on the Senate Budget and Appropriations, Judiciary and Labor committees.
Peters is serving his second term in the New Jersey State Assembly and is not seeking re-election. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, he served as a Navy SEAL with the rank of Commander; he currently commands a Navy SEAL Team in the U.S. Navy Reserve. An attorney, Peters was elected to the Burlington County Board of Freeholders in 2015, at age 33, and to the Assembly in 2017.
