Storm Wyche, an aide to Bergen County freeholder Tracy Silna Zur, is slated to run Cory Booker’s New Jersey presidential campaign, the New Jersey Globe has learned.

Booker appears to have his home state locked up – he’s won endorsements from all 21 Democratic county chairs and New Jersey’s top elected officials – but he’ll need to win a bunch of other states first if he is to remain in the race until the June 3, 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

Wyche, 28, currently the deputy director of communications and policy for the Bergen County Board of Freeholders, served as field director for Rep. Josh Gottheimer’s re-election campaign, as deputy Bergen County political director for the New Jersey Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 2017, and as the Democratic State Committee’s paid canvass director assigned to Gottheimer’s 2016 campaign that unseated Rep. Scott Garrett (R-Wantage).

Since 2016, Wyche has been a Democratic county committeewoman in Montclair.
