Statements on the Mueller Report

By David Wildstein, March 24 2019 5:10 pm

State Sen. Joseph Pennacchio (R-Montville)
“After years and millions of taxpayer dollars spent on investigating the President and his campaign for collusion of the 2016 Presidential Campaign, the Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, found that neither the President, anyone in his campaign or any American, conspired with the Russians. What is needed now is not a victory lap by President Trump or continued and additional partisan investigations by Congress. Let us put our Country and its important pressing issues ahead of self-serving political ones. Our greatness shines when we do so. Lincoln said as much when he said,” if destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time or die by suicide”. Key word, ‘We.'”

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair)
“I stood with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to unanimously support the public release of the Special Counsel’s report in order to ensure that the American people can understand the full scope and scale of Russian interference in our election system. The Attorney General’s summary letter to Congress does not fulfill that obligation. The public deserves to know all of the facts and findings of the report and I remain committed to the need for transparency and accountability.”

Morris County Freeholder Tom Mastrangelo
Special Counsel Robert Mueller hired 19 lawyers, was assisted by 40 FBI agents, intelligence analysts, forensic accountants and other staff. 2800 subpoenas were issued, 500 search warrants were executed, approximately 500 witnesses were interviewed and over $35 million of taxpayer money was spent during the 22 month investigation on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Any  potential involvement by President Donald Trump and his campaign is finally over…No Collusion… No Obstruction… Good leadership in Congress is needed to support the President and in moving this country forward together by focusing on the things the country wants Congress to focus on. God Bless America.”
