Cory Booker returns to Iowa today for a two-day swing in advance of the February 3 Democratic caucuses.
It’s the 10th time Booker has been in Iowa.
This campaign trip will put the New Jersey Senator at 45 events over 20 days in Iowa.
According to the Des Moines Register candidate tracker, sixteen other presidential candidates have spent more time in Iowa then Booker. Three of them – John Hickenlooper, Eric Swalwell and Kirstin Gillibrand – have already dropped out of the race.
Ahead of Booker: Amy Klobuchar (80 events/33 days); Andrew Yang (60 events/33 days); Julian Castro (73 events/29 days); Bernie Sanders (64 events/27 days); Elizabeth Warren (52 events/27 days); Pete Buttigieg (50 events/28 days); Beto O’Rourke (72 events/27 days); and Kamala Harris (50 events/20 days);
Joe Biden has attended 35 events over 18 days in Iowa.
Booker will be in Cedar Rapids for a LGBTQ forum tonight, followed by a rally in Des Moines tomorrow before the Polk County Democrats’ Annual Steak Fry. Later in the day, he’ll attend State Rep. Mark Smith’s annual barbecue in Marshalltown, and a Meet and Greet in Grinnell, the home of Drake University.
