Bergen County Republican Chairman Jack Zisa

Zisa will run unopposed in Bergen

By David Wildstein, May 17 2018 8:25 pm

It’s a sure thing: former Hackensack mayor Jack Zisa will be the next Bergen County Republican Chairman.  The deadline to file as a candidate in next month’s election for county chairman came and went today and only Zisa filed.

Zisa will succeed Paul DiGaetano, who is stepping down after just one term.  DiGaetano defeated incumbent Bob Yudin in 2016, and then lost his bid for the Republican nomination for State Senate in 2017.
