Ciesla, O’Neill win in Warren

By Nikita Biryukov, November 03 2020 11:26 pm

Former Lopatcong Council President Lori Ciesla will defeat Democrat Theresa Bender Chapman, the New Jersey Globe projects.

Republican Surrogate Kevin O’Neill is on track to beat challenger John Massaro.

Ciesla, a close ally of State Republican chairman Doug Steinhardt, ran for Freeholder Richard Gardner’s seat. Gardner did not seek re-election.

The results here is unsurprising. Warren is one of a small number of solidly red New Jersey counties. Republicans have a 10,972-voter registration advantage there. The county has just 83,728 registered voters.
