Yardley likely re-elected in Sussex

By Nikita Biryukov, November 04 2020 12:03 am

NJ Bergen County Executive General Election Sussex County Freeholder Herbert Yardley will likely defeat Democratic challenger Robert Slockbower to win another term, the New Jersey Globe projects.

He leads Slockblower 11,315 to 15,649.

The outcome is unsurprising given the county’s position as one of a handful of Republican strongholds remaining in New Jersey.

There are 21,759 more Republicans that Democrats in the county, a significant number given Sussex only has 112,855 registered voters.
