The Hunterdon County Republican organization is backing Susan Soloway, a Franklin Township Committeeman, for Freeholder. Soloway will seek the seat of incumbent John King, who is not seeking re-election. She will run on a ticket with Freeholder Matt Holt and Surrogate Susan Hoffman.
“Freeholder Director Holt and Committeewoman Soloway have a record in office of putting taxpayers first and dedication to Republican principles and values,” Hunterdon GOP County Chairman Patrick Torpey said in a statement issued today. “They will be formidable candidates for the Republican Party in the election and, ultimately, outstanding advocates for the taxpayers on the Freeholder Board.”
Holt, a former Clinton Mayor, has been a freeholder since 2006. Hoffman has been Surrogate since 1982.
