Stephen Shaw will serve as the first chairman of the Morris County Board of Commissioners when county government reorganizes next month, Republican County Chair Laura Ali announced today.
Deborah Smith will serve as vice chair.
“Stephen Shaw and Deborah Smith will be a dynamic, fiscally conservative leadership team for Morris County government over the next 12 months and represent the very best of our party,” said Ali. “Stephen and Deb will continue to hold the line on taxes, invest in infrastructure, and help our county navigate the ongoing pandemic in proactive way.”
Following the implementation of a new law passed earlier this year, the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders will convert to the Morris County Board of Commissioners.
