Bayonne Mayor-elect Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski announced the leaders of her transition team Thursday.
John Minella, a former adviser to former Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, will chair the transition. Maria Valado, a former president of the Bayonne Board of Education and the current vice chair of the Bayonne Planning Board, will serve as vice chair.
“John Minella and Maria Valado each bring an incredible amount of experience, leadership, and commitment to public service to our effort to deliver a more effective and responsive local government for Bayonne residents,” Nadrowski said. “I am very excited to have such talented and respected individuals helping lead this transition effort, and I am confident their knowledge of government, education, and community engagement will ensure our administration is prepared to hit the ground running on day one to deliver for the people of Bayonne.”
Nadrowski won a three-way race for mayor earlier this month, defeating Councilman Loyad Booker.
The announcement said more hires will be made in future weeks.
