Former Gov. Jim McGreevey isn’t holding a grudge against Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, who McGreevey has claimed pushed his firing from the Jersey City Employment and Training Program for political reasons.
“No,” McGreevey said when asked if he was holding a grudge against the mayor. “Life goes on.”
Unfortunately for Fulop, others, including Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and State Sen. Brian Stack, who have it out for Fulop over his role — or lack thereof — in last summer’s warette over control of Hudson County’s Democratic Chairmanship.
But, that’s a problem for Fulop, not McGreevey.
McGreevey said he’s still focusing on reentry programs similar to those he worked in Jersey City before his departure there and intends to continue to do so.
Now out of office for close to 15 years, McGreevey said he can afford to let sleeping dogs lie.
