The first warning shot of the Hudson County warette came in West New York tonight.
Commissioner Susan Colarcurcio from her post as Director of Revenue and Finance after she allied herself with Mayor Felix Roque in the move to dump Tom DeGise as Hudson County Executive. The other three commissioners have endorsed DeGise for re-election.
Colarcurcio was moved to the less influential post as Director of Public Works, switching jobs with Commissioner Gabriel Rodriguez, a DeGise supporter.
The three commissioners had the option of removing Roque as mayor, but stopped short in the interest of protecting the possibility for peace down the road.
