Incumbents Frank Cicerale and Brian Kaminski have won the Republican nomination for the Hardyston Township Committee, fending off a challenge from Planning Board member John Sheldon and school board member Robin Marrotta
Kaminski leads with 355 votes, followed by Cicerale with 330 votes, followed by Sheldon with 317 votes, followed by Marrotta with 316 votes.
In the 2020 GOP primary, Cicerale unseated Leslie Hamilton, who had served on the township council for 27 years, by 141 votes. Three years earlier, Hamilton held off a primary fight with Cicerale by 13 votes.
Hardyston, like most of Sussex County, is rock-solid Republican; Donald Trump carried it by over 20 points in 2024
