A group opposing a ballot question on banning short term rentals in Jersey City released a fourth ad Thursday.
The 30-second spot mimics a news segment and features a resident saying she needs to sublet her apartment to make ends meet.
Keep Our Homes, the organization that aired the ad, is backed by short-term rental giant Airbnb.

you say: “opposing a ballot question on banning short term rentals in Jersey City” – without revealing or even questioning the lie that AirBnb – and the anonymous outsiders who are turning apartment building into hotels without regulation – want you and voters to think.
You have just gulped down The Kool-Aide. Shame on you. This is “press release journalism.” The ordinance is not new and it DOES NOT BAN STRs in Jersey City.
Home owners who live in the property can have STRs in the home 365 days a year.
Anonymous outsiders may not STR multi-unit apartments.
Renters who do not own the property may not STR space in apartments they do not own and live in.
It is seriously irresponsible of you to make such a grossly misleading allegation without actually reading the ordinance. Obviously you have not.
