Rep. Josh Gottheimer swore in Dumont Mayor Andrew LaBruno Thursday.

“Mayor Labruno brings his incredible experience in law enforcement, coaching, and non-profit organizing to a community that he is clearly dedicated to serving and will do so with distinction,” the congressman said. “He will continue to fight for lower taxes, to improve our local infrastructure, and to make capital improvements to keep Dumont beautiful.”

Councilman Conor Gorman, Councilwoman Lisa Rossillo and a number of first responders, including Fire Chief Christian Baierwalter, were also sworn in.

“I would also like to thank and congratulate all of the councilmembers and first responders being sworn in today,” Gottheimer said. “Dumont Volunteer Fire Department Officers and Police Department Officers work incredibly hard to protect this community and keep our families safe. We must always have their backs.”
