Democrats lose one, keep majority in Atlantic Highlands

Democrats lost a seat but managed to keep their majority in Atlantic Highlands.

Republican James Murphy ousted Democratic Councilman Charles Lero 1,089 votes to 1,006.

Councilman Roy Delloso came in second, winning 1,087 votes. Republican Brian Boms beat out Lero but fell short of winning a seat with 1,058 votes.

Democrat Lori Hohenleitner won a special election for two years of an unexpired Council term, beating Republican Kimberly Spatola 1,075 votes to 1,047.
