Collingswood Democratic Municipal Chair Kate Delany has been elected president of the South Jersey Progressive Democrats, a grassroots political group organized in opposition of the local party organization.
Katie Ingersoll of Collingswood was elected vice president, Patrick Mooney of Medford is the treasurer, and Rena Margulis of Cherry Hill is the secretary.
Also elected: membership director Linda Rubiano (Pennsauken), communications director Kristen Aggrime (Cherry Hill), elections director Chris Emmerich (Collingswood), and organizing director Adam Sheridan (Berlin).
“I am honored to have been elected to lead this organization forward in the fight to Take Back NJ,” Delany said. “Together we can meet the machine with a movement.”
Delaney was elected municipal chair earlier this year after a progressive slate upset the Camden Democratic organization candidates in the June 5 primary by 74 votes.
