The New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association and Police Benevolent Association Locals 266 and 266A endorsed Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci and his slat of council candidates last week.
“There is no doubt that Mayor Fanucci is committed to working with the men and women of the Vineland Fire Department to ensure that they have the tools necessary to protect the city’s residents and their families and businesses,” NJFMBA President Ed Donnelly said. “We believe it is critical that firefighters unite behind elected officials that respect the important job being done by our members.”
Fanucci faces a challenge from Jeffrey Riggione.
A single candidate, Eligio Rodriguez, is challenging incumbent Councilmembers David Acosta, Elizabeth Arthur, Ron Franceschini, Paul Spinelli and Albert Vargas, who are running on a slate with Fanucci.
“We are proud to support Mayor Fanucci and the team who have been champions for the Vineland Police Department,” PBA Local 266 President Dave Cavagnaro said. “They have shown forward-thinking leadership and I am confident they will continue to fight for the resources the Vineland Police Department needs to keep our officers and community safe.”
