Bergen County James Tedesco and his Board of Chosen Freeholders easily won reelection Tuesday night.
Tedesco secured 178,066 votes, about 62%, to Republican challenger Norman Schmelz’s 108,240 votes, about 38% of those cast.
Freeholders Steven Tanelli and Tracy Zur won about 30% each, with 167,040 and 164,582 votes, respectively.
Republican challengers Hector Olmo and Eric Kulmala finished the night with roughly 20% of the votes cast in their favor. Olmo got 110,769 while Kulmala got 111,382.
