Bergen County Democrats will hold a special election on July 17 to pick a new county chairman.
Louis Stellato resigned last week after the State Senate confirmed his nomination to serve as a commissioner of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.
Fairview Public Works Director Paul Juliano appears to be a lock to replace Stellato.
So far, Juliano is unopposed. No nominations will be taken from the floor, according to acting county chair Balpreet Grewal-Virk.
The winner will serve the remainder of Stellato’s term, which runs until June 2020.
